Charity begins at home, but should not end there – Thomas Fuller

At Excel, we are proud to be a part of our local community. While many financial services firms are sending their work offshore to increase their profit margins, we have not followed suit. We believe in employing locally – after all, many local families are our clients.

Now that we’ve built our office on our farm and are not travelling to work every day, we’ve freed up a little bit more time to become involved with community events.

We were pleased to be one of the local businesses to support the Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival last year, and we’ll be involved as a sponsor again this year.
It was great to see the local community and visitors support the day last year with a wonderful turnout, and I loved being able to watch a world champion axeman in action.

While our main giving is via our involvement with various B1G1 approved projects, we also support a number of other charities or causes either through the business or by the team members personally.
