Sunset over field

I hope you enjoy the (very) late September edition of our monthly newsletter.

Just a quick note to let everyone know Heather and I are back from our overseas holiday, and will be officially back at work from our Long Service Leave on Monday next week. With any luck we’ll be over the jet lag and settled back into normal routines by then.

I’m hoping today’s glorious weather continues over the weekend, as I’ve got fences to mend and a lawn that desperately needs mowing – things just don’t stand still while you’re on holidays. And it looks like things have been busy on the political scene while we’ve been away with (yet another) leadership challenge and change of Prime Minister.

They say time flies when you’re having a good time, so it’s no surprise the past 5 weeks has just flown by. But when you pack two coach tours, three days of train travel, a cruise, 9 flights (including a glacier landing (magnificent), plenty of food, a few beers and some great company into such a short time no wonder it seems like a blur. If anyone gets a chance to see the beauty of the West Coast of Canada and Alaska, just go for it.

If you haven’t already made plans for tomorrow (Saturday) and will be in the Karuah area, why not get into the community spirit and come and join us at the Karuah Public School fete between 10:00 and 3:00. We’ll have a stall at the fete, and hope to not only catch up with some of our clients but also get to meet and chat with people we don’t know yet as well. And if you’re at the fete make sure you visit the Wax & Lye (Previously Nameless Creations) stall as well – our daughter Kate makes some lovely candles, soaps and bath products.
