It’s September and spring is finally here. The big news on the farm this week is the first of the new calves for the season have arrived, and the new solar power system is kicking in big time. Looks like the cooler weather is behind us, and I’m looking forward to the longer daylight hours.
I’d like to take the opportunity to send out a big thank you to everyone for the way you’ve accepted and adapted to the changes we’ve introduced over the past 6 months as we all deal with Covid-19. It’s been a big disruption for everyone and we’ve all had to change a lot of our normal practices – some of these changes are positive and should now be the “new normal” but no doubt we’re all looking forward to a time when we don’t have to keep checking the news to see what we’re allowed to do.
At the end of this month the initial round of JobKeeper payments will cease for many businesses, but other businesses may qualify. We’re still waiting on the final rule details and will update our business clients as soon as possible.
Next month the Government will be releasing the long-overdue Federal Budget (deferred from May). We’ll put out a special edition of the newsletter outlining the major areas of interest to our clients.
